5. Front Office Football (2007)
If you are like me, you would love to manage a pro football team. The only popular video game out there right now, Madden has some serious issues for franchise mode. I won't go to in depth, but I often find some nobody breaks the single season rushing record (often its Julius Jones of Dallas) in the first season and that after about 10 seasons, there is often not a single quarterback with a rating over 82 except yours. This is where Front Office Football steps in. Sure, its not flashy at all and not the best party game (it has no graphics and no sounds), but it is the most realistic game out there for running a pro football team. The game is only marginally fun solo, but the multiplayer leagues out there are very intense (for a text and numbers game). So check it out.

4. Bushido Blade 1 & 2 (1997 & 1998)
Bushido Blade is one of my favorite fighting games because unlike others where you must learn some weird strings of button presses to do a totally fantastical fireball, this game was very quick to pickup but hard to master. The games also have no health bar, because, well, they thought that since one well-placed slash of a sword would kill you in real life, it would do the same in the game. Now Bushido Blade 2 had more characters and weapons (how fun it was to play as the guy with the gun while your opponent had no idea what was laid in store for them), and multiple subgames but Bushido Blade 1 gets my vote because, for reasons unbeknownst to me, the developer decided to tone down the cool location-specific-injury feature in the sequel. Anyways, these games are only for the PS1.
3. Iron Tank (1988)
This old gem for the NES is so much fun. It was probably my favorite game as a child. You travel across beaches, fields, bridges, and cities trying to destroy Nazis in your awesome tank. The gameplay is very simplistic but that is what makes it so beautiful and fun. The allows you to get powerups and the coolest part is that you can drive one way while shooting the cannon in a different direction (which does take a little time to get used too). Anyways try it. You can probably find it on any ROM site.
2. Master of Magic (1994)
For those fans of Master of Orion, they should check out Master of Magic. Its made by the same guy (Steve Barcia), but unlike MoO, MoM plays in a fantasy world (obviously). The game is very deep with multiple worlds, tons of spells ranging from summons to global enchantments to combat spells to etc... The player can attack other wizards, neighboring neutral cities, magical nodes, castle ruins, and dungeons just to name a few. Its a very fun and replayable game. The only problem is that the A.I. is a tad dated and often predictable and changing the difficulty level only changes the starting spells the enemy wizards have. Check it out though, you might just like it.

1. Covert Action (1990)
To many videogame buffs, especially those who love strategy games such as Cilivization, Sid Meier is a god. However, very few people tend to look for his older stuff, which is likewise very ingenious. Covert Action is a very replayable action game where you play a James Bond-like character who must stop some crime. The game never gets old as it has so many different parts to it, whether its the puzzles that incorporate wiretapping, trying lose a car thats following you, decrypting messages, or breaking into the badguys headquarters and busting some heads. The plot is randomly generated each time so each mission will feel different.

Top 10 Division I College Football Uniforms
10. Georgia Tech Alternate Jersey
![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_vQdliFL5Q-S67hpuUIglAqOBSpP9Kl4_c1zbTcWbzdxvAaPhk16S0Rs48VzciR6f0oSZKW62KfgbasulsFBUCQOQ6UVG3UgHc7LmoFaK7-Mh5IQb8nNoM=s0-d)
Instead of the gold dome helmet with the large GT, recently, in a game against the Virginia Cavaliers, Georgia Tech wore a classy throwback white helmet with triple stripes and smaller and outlined logo to go with a brighter jersey. Even cooler is that the whole day was apparently a throwback day and hotdogs only cost a quarter or something similar.
9. TCU Horned Frogs Home Jersey

Purple is such an interesting color; pair it up with the wrong color like green or baby blue and you have a sissy looking team but pair it up with black and what a dangerous look. The design is rather basic (except for a rather cool design on the trims that is so barely noticable) but its the colors that sell it. Plus, nothing was quite as cool as watching LaDainian Tomlinson breaking off huge runs wearing this and his mysterious dark visor.
8. Auburn Tigers Home Jersey
![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_vMHJehNSj1mbmeo2boUEKi18Y1T2q9zM1NAE7mMRL3ERTiEV-SdAxlo6AchT8cDuKNAtuiEBAdjvvhmzcPKbnyoX1xeT2bedcXN05WxzrJFeHs-tQ=s0-d)
Auburn's jersey mixes a strong, unique color selection with both oldschool and modern design to make one hell of jersey. The triple stripe look, so popular with teams with lots of history is modernized with a wide middle stripe and the helmet's white color is great contrast with the darker jersey.
7. Vanderbilt Commodores Home Jersey
![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_vmxh597G13bLWzO1ZopGoJJUBkrTBF76FtrFW2a-9A405u_VpNMVaODAsvIcNnahLZzf00_DoctOeHq77wjPK9rMpgjoxyG2lMFJD33cvs6mw28lShsWBNguiOxL14650yiNhK47UAKxXPoVA=s0-d)
Gold is such a great color for a football team but it seems only a handful use it as a primary color. While both Purdue and Vanderbilt use the gold/black color combination Vanderbilt gets the nod here because the Vanderbilt star on the helmet is one of the rare logos that is both original and not tacky.
6. Texas Longhorns Away Jersey
The Longhorns away jersey combines the all-white look that I seem to love with old-school design and a unique color choice of orange. Its image has remained unchanged for many years and will forever embody Texas football.
5. Stanford Cardinals Home Jersey
![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_ve7kWteP0CGiohdzmYg7io0wd6TMxHLfinDr7FXFaDOOrL1H0PXOIvVaP6vloHscfyGgSFmcJPqmyZIhF8w_ZpsxiJbzgPwrbfG5GchjbrWDTwM6DC=s0-d)
It seems rare nowadays to find a team with a traditionally losing history to have an old-fashioned design instead of some new, crazy one (see any MAC football team). Stanford has a classy approach to the popular red and black look that a simple jersey with striped pants and simplistic, but sharp white helmet. Hopefully it keeps this look as it seems many of the PAC-10 teams have adopted ugly modern designs (Oregon, Oregon State, Cal...)
4. Hawaii Warriors Home Jersey
![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_t8M8pyx-6MmvZIVI6hRYD6w6cgM2K1HU2U3SVfQ74cSYhdNi_y_R_kv_aFJ4fR1l0qqZqQa_I2So7TsT_R7TUo8Q0dmM0knqUMcqqSG1fAh5f7fv_xuWBLuW39MQ71BzG3biTq0_HMF46HV9LuEEIOr-KS=s0-d)
Now black and dark green might not be the first colors that come to mind when discussing Hawaii, but it does make for one fierce football look. Combined with more modern look, all the Warriors are missing is a hardhitting defense to go with the dark look. Also neat is how those Hawaii Warrior triangles make their way subtly on the jersey.
3. UGA Bulldogs Home Jersey
![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_uBn2o7YkwFxjpGQ7tgfd0GBrNbWTxd0APesri32vX73Tb-ADz0H-aScI31Z1-arCeMI-C5kfMe4VD7uxNxglecidwlGjF_uuaZaOPOnpmGUj2WGSkZrrOJecRaBv7MDhZ4rxhL9E2GlkcJidI6iz1ajg-2-eIxS2S74msrHuQCiA=s0-d)
The bulldogs jersey is no-nonsense look that goes well with their hard hitting style. The jersey is very basic and the only style is on the three stripes on the pants and the old-fashioned one striped helmet with the big G.
2. LSU Tigers Home Jersey
![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_sTJew0idxRsR6AYj-O54Tz0zA0AU3nmHwFxnnsBo-LhdWDHgA7dB6gRmgaZzFQueZ2-S_wrf_em08C0_41tE49-I1LN6i_V-qEMF3PpZ3dobMVVSWzImCiv1D_98DSAPNhfHggXn6mWL6E12jLYQ=s0-d)
Nothing says New Orleans and nearby Baton Rouge like the colors of Mardi Gras. The jersey design is very simple and consistent throughout using a three stripe look. It also gets points for being one of the few white home jerseys. The only thing I don't like about the jersey is that its logo is too busy with the tiger much detailed for such a small part of the helmet.
1. Tulane Green Wave Home Jersey
![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_sU4eWoqE2N5u1SJRQ-VZHp49sojk2VrDbBRfuf0rbNYZa8ud2VSa7bHmDofG1Y4xaC4iYJr03M69Os_smnCCmUABGzyy-tXoxOrOfLRweIQxPL6w9jO-YzjLPtxJpSwWjeAnE_StJAkHg=s0-d)
Tulane sports the modern look made famous by the Denver Broncos and uses the classic color combination of green and white. The jersey is very sharp looking and Tulane also has one of the best looking logos in football, if you ask me.
Honorable Mentions:
Virginia Tech Hokies Home Jersey - I really like the jersey but when the started doing that one-sleeve look with that ugly orange color a couple years ago, well, I just couldn't put them on this list.
Iowa Hawkeyes Home Jersey - Their design is very neat with the blue-collar, hard-hitting black-and-yellow style but it since it was so obliviously stolen from the Steelers I just couldn't put it on the list.
Miami Hurricanes Jerseys - However stylized and interesting these jerseys are, I just hate the Hurricanes too much to but them on a top ten list. Plus, depending on my mood, the jersey's can be butt-ugly.
